My name is Marshell Ray and I’m the owner of Pinchback Reproductions. Please allow me to give you a little history. I started doing taxidermy in 1984 as an apprentice in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In 1985 I moved to central Arkansas. My first reproduction was a turkey head, then came death masks as reference materials and reproduction trout heads. I started making reproduction antlers in 1990, but didn‘t like the brittle material that I was using to make the cast with. I put casting on the back burner for awhile and in 1994 I was asked to mold a 190-class typical whitetail deer rack. There is nothing like a good challenge, so I went to work on the project. I was working for Elmer Burrows at Burrow’s Taxidermy in Brinkley, Arkansas. Elmer had a friend that was willing to share his casting techniques with me. It helped to have someone point me in a new direction. This was just the spark I needed to restart my molding and casting career. I worked on my molding techniques while working at Burrows Taxidermy and in 2001 I opened Pinchback Reproductions in Jacksonville, Arkansas, offering taxidermy, custom molding and casting services, as a family run business. At Pinchback Reproductions, in addition to the custom
molding, we have developed several products for the outdoor enthusiast
and taxidermist alike. We offer step by step instructions for those do-it-yourself
customers on how to use our products or we can compete the projects for
you. We offer finished and unfinished reproductions of several different
species.
Please feel free to contact us about your molding and casting needs. Marshell Ray 2603- D Poloron Road Jacksonville, AR 72076 501-580-8258 marshell.ray@sbcglobal.net
